Our Favorites

We’re excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you

Where to Stay

Hotels and B&Bs to check out

Grand Hyatt Kauai

Our wedding will take place at the Grand Hyatt.  We love staying here and hanging out at their large outdoor pool area.  This is the easiest lodging option!

Use code CR85917 for a discount at time of booking (not applicable if you've already reserved a room in our block).

Airbnb

There are several other hotels in Poipu and Koloa to choose from.  However, finding an Airbnb will likely be the most affordable option!

Food Recommendations

Anuenue Cafe

Only open from 8am - noon, this is our favorite breakfast spot.  The Tow-In and the Tube Ride are our favorites!

Crumb & Get It

Scroll back far enough on their Instagram and you'll find a picture of me and Robyn after she finished a half-marathon on the island in 2024!  Great for to-go sweet and savory baked goods.

Kukuiula Market

While not a restaurant, this convenience store has everything you need to stock your hotel room.  Try the chocolate chip banana bread!  It sells out quick, so be sure to grab it if you see it.

Koloa Pizza Kitchen + Bar

Grab a pizza to-go!  Walk around the shops in Old Koloa Town while you wait for it to come out of the oven.

Activities

Kauai Coffee Company

Walk the meandering path beneath the shade of the coffee trees and learn about Kauai Coffee, their Hawaiian history and the coffee grown on their estate.  The self-guided tour is free and the coffee is great!  Don't forget to bring home some beans!

Koloa Rum Company

Stop by the Koloa Rum Company for some delicious locally made rum, or sign up for a Rum Safari Tour with Kauai Safaris.  We've done the tour and it was a lot of fun!

Take a Shelter Dog on a Field Trip

The Kaua`i Humane Society’s Field Trip Program allows you to enjoy the natural beauty of the Garden Island, get your “dog fix,” and give a shelter dog a break from the kennels all at the same time! Taking the dog out of the shelter and allowing them to have a fun day is incredibly beneficial to the dog’s mental health, it often helps the dog get adopted, and most importantly, we get to learn more about the dog’s true behavior outside of the shelter.  Robyn and I had a lot of fun showing Carol around the island last year.

Hanalei Bay

Hanalei Bay is located on the north side of the island, and its crystal clear water is absolutely amazing.  Thinking of trying surfing for the first time?  This is the spot!  Waves are calm and you can sign up for a class.  Or, walk along the pier and jump into the water!

So Much More!

There's so much more to do than what we have listed here!  Here are some more ideas:

- Waimea Canyon

- Shipwreck Beach (near the Hyatt)

- JoJo's Shave Ice

- Boat ride to the Na Pali Coast (we've got you covered there)

Get out there and explore the island!
